I was running a scan when I received the following error message:
"Norton Internet Security has encountered an internal program error. 0x800706BE" (at the bottom of the dialog box is 3038,107)
I clicked on the link to go to the knowledge base, and received a blank web page.
I tried to chat with Symantec and the chat session crashed
I tried to e-mail Symantec and all appropriate topics directed me to Chat.
So, can anyone here help me, either with this problem?
Thanks

Well, I just finished re-booting and re-running the scan. Same results, including the same error message. However, I did pay more attension to things this time and I have some additional information.
The scan in question was a Full Scan. A Quick Scan passed with no problems. The Full Scan failed at about the same place. I can't be certain if it was on the same file or if it was just close to that area.
Additionally, once the failure occured, Norton locked up. A reboot is just about manditory
