Norton Internet Security Protection Updates AT RISK

[ Edited ]
I use Norton Internet Security and the other day it gave me this error:
Protection Updates "At Risk" in red.
(Protection Updates are out of date. To ensure that you are protected from the latest viruses.....update virus protection now.")
When I click Fix Now - it takes me to Live Update , connects and runs through that process and says
"Your System is up to date."

Does it still say Protection Updates are still "At Risk"? I have a problem like this with Windows Automatic Update, which I am un-happy with, even though it says from the Control Panel that it is Set to Automatic. You should be fine if it says on LiveUpdate that your system is up-to-date, and there is nothing to worry about. There is one Solution, though: Un-install Norton Internet Security 2008 via Norton Removal Tool (http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039) and then re-installing N.I.S.; that should solve your problem and, if it does not, you should be okay.

Re: Norton Internet Security Protection Updates AT RISK

hi EmilyAnna - this one happens when the liveupdate information file is corrupted or missing something. you can try the utility in this article and see if that takes care of it. if that doesn't work, try AutoFix, which you get to through the products Help and Support link in the main program window.
