Norton Internet Security and IE9 logins not working

I recently downloaded Explorer 9 and since then my login manager has ceased to work.  Any ideas please?

Hi,

can you please tell us the exact version of your Norton product?
1. Open the main window
2. Click on Help & Support -> About menu
3. On the About window find the version number (it will look like this: 18.6.0.29)

Hello acleaver,

 

First, be sure all three Symantec / Norton browser add-ons are enabled. Is the Norton toolbar visible and are you logged into Identity Safe?

 

If all the above is okay, you should consider resetting your Identity Safe.

    1. Open the main NIS interface.
    2. Go to Web Settings > Identity SafeBackup Identity Safe Data > Configure [+]
    3. In the Backup Window, "Browse" to save the data onto a USB flash drive or other convenient location. Add a password for extra security.
    4. Log out of Identity Safe.
    5. Reset the current Identity Safe Profile by providing a wrong or empty password twice in the login window.

  1. Create a new Identity Safe Profile. (Do not select to import anything)
  2. Go to Web Settings > Identity Safe >  Restore Identity Safe Data > Configure [+]
  3. Browse to the NPM file you just saved on the USB flash Drive or other location.  Click OK.

Let us know if the Autofill function works now.

 

And, always backup your Identity Safe Data to an external media on a regular basis.

I am having the same issues. I have checked that the 3 plugins are enabled but my toolbar isn't showing in my browser. How do get it working again? My version is 18.6.0.29 also.

Try right clicking on the "clear" area above the URL bar and click on the word "Norton toolbar."

If you have the Menu Bar displayed, clickon View and place a check by the Norton Toolbar.  If the Menu Bar is not diplayed, right check on a blank space in the header of IE, and then place a check in fropnt of Norton Toolbar in the dropdown menu.
