Hi,

I'm using Win 7 Pro x64 SP1 and Norton Internet Security 2012 version 19.8.0.14. Recently NIS keeps displaying the "Threats Dectected" window but it is empty:

If I click on Apply All nothing happens, if I click on Close then this dialogue appears:

I have no choice but to click on Yes to close this window.

It seems that this window appears randomly. I have run a Full System Scan but the problem is still there.

Try clicking on Support - Get Support to run  Autofix to check your installation and fix what it finds.

Have you run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available?

If this still is happening, I would suggest reinstalling your NIS using the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool.

Download the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool from here   www.norton.com/nrnr
If you use Identity Safe, backup/export your data.
Run the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool.
Reboot.
Run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Import your Identity Safe data.

I have run the tool you provided, then run LiveUpdate and QuickScan. However I need 2 or 3 days to confirm if everything is OK.

It has been 2 days since I removed & reinstalled NIS and now the program behaves normally, no empty "Thread Detected" window. So I guess the problem is solved. Thank you peterweb.
