Hello,

I'm not sure if it's just me or everyone, but Norton Safety Minder causes Norton Internet Security 2012 Firewall Program Control to fail - the rules in the Program Control fail to work. I don't know if it's just me, but I am sure it causes the issue since after I've uninstalled safety minder, it starts working again. I'd be glad if someone could help me out.

Can you provide more details about the version of Norton Online Family and your system?

Also, can you tell us what was/were the rule(s) that failed to work?

I am not sure about the version of the Safety Minder, but it was the lastest version when I downloaded it from the Norton Online Family account, and I downloaded it about 2 weeks ago. About what rules failed, I'm sure that all the rules failed to work because I created rules to block the internet access to some softwares, and they all were set to "Block" and those programs still got access to the internet. I thought I were doing something wrong, then I went to the settings and blocked Opera's internet connection too, but it still got access to the internet, and same with the Internet Explorer 9. Then I removed the Safety Minder, as I did not face this issue prior to it's installation, and restarted and the firewall started working again. There were also certain other rules to block inbound or outbound access for some softwares, but it failed to work too.

My System:

Windows 7 x64 Service Pack 1 (with latest updates and hotfixes)

Opera (Default) & Internet Explorer 9 Browsers
