Hi Elsewhere,
There is a small deviation from our posts, I said, if we miss the popup, we will have option to bring Norton Safe search box and Norton Search provider, but if the user intentionally chooses(instead of not performing anything on the popup) not to enable the popup by unchecking the option "Enable Norton search, then we can't get that in Search Providers(as you said).
Thanks,
Senthil

Thanks, Senthil, for both the clarification and the confirmation. On that note, I think we're done here! ![]()

Hello senthilkumar and thank you for your comments. I enjoy using the Norton Safe Search (located in the upper right corner of the IE window), I also use the Norton Safe Search (located between the Norton icon and the Safe Web icon). On my new laptop using IE9, when I uninstalled NIS2012 trial version and installed the regular NIS2012, I really don't remember that Popup coming up. Now even though I have Norton Safe Search as my default search engine, the search engine that comes up in the upper right is Google. I even went in and removed the google search engine and now I don't have any search block in the upper right. If I uninstall my current copy of NIS2012 and reinstall the program again, should that Popup come back up and I should be able to default the Norton Safe Search engine? Are both of the search engines the same things, just located in two different places?

Hi PC_Confused,
Yes. Both Norton safe search in the Norton toolbar and Norton safe search in the Search provider are same. We can use this from both the places.
What are the search providers listed under Tools->manage addons->Search Providers?
In IE9, we can see search provider only in address bar. I think you had Google toolbar on the right top corner, since you deleted/removed, now you are not seeing anything in the right top corner.
Please see my screenshots from previous post. http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Sec
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Senthil
