Hi Norton Users
We have good news! The Firefox 3.5 toolbar hotfix is ready, sooner than expected!
For Norton Internet Security 2009, you can find it at:
http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view
and for Norton 360 3.0 at:
http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view
This hotfix will allow you to get your toolbar up and running with Firefox 3.5. With our upcoming patch and inline release, Norton 2009 users will automatically get Firefox 3.5 support for the toolbar as well as the one feature that is missing from the IPS technology. The hotfix will work on ALL LANGUAGES.
Our primary browser protection works on FF 3.5 and provides proactive protection from drive-by-downloads and other web-based attacks. At this time, the hotfix does not include a fix for this IPS incompatibility. We will be releasing a fix for it with the next inline release. We don't have a specific ETA for this at the moment, however this issue is also addressed in the Norton 2010 Beta. We will make another post as soon as the patch is out.
Solved! Go to Solution.
