Here we are two days after the second product update for the browser add-ons and I still don't see any posts by a Symantec employee pinned at the top of the NIS/NAV forum or listed in the "Hot Issues & Hot Fixes" section, and still no response to DKN's questions posted here in this thread. Do we even know if this update has fixed the problem with the toolbar in the 64-bit version of IE9?
Some feedback from Symantec would be appreciated.

Hi Imacri,
Just a reminder that 64-bit is not supported, so it is not a matter of the toolbar being broken. As of now the toolbar is not designed to work with IE 64-bit.

Firefox just released a new version 6.0..We will need an update to NIS 2011 for Norton Toolbar compatibility. Thanks.

The 6.0 is a beta. There is no need for compatibility updates whenever a beta is released.

Firefox 6 is currently a beta release. The Norton Toolbar does not support versions of the browser that are released for testing purposes only.

You say the patch is available through liveupdate but I have not received it yet. I just updated and even reinstalled firefox 5, but toolbar is still disabled.
What more do I need to do?
Lance.
