I have Norton Internet Security on both of my computers. One got the update, but the other has not as of yet. My second computer has only gotten new difinitions. I guess they don't update all at once. Hopefully, the other will follow shortly.

Updating NIS and Norton360 is being deployed.
It is a great news.

Here is a proposal that seems interesting to me: "Norton External Programs Update" or how to prevent problems of incompatibility of Norton products during software updates.

Can't seem to download the hotfix. Norton says it's not compatible with my product Norton 360. Still don't have my toolbar or login fill ins. Help!

I don't understand why I can download the update on one of my computers, but not the other. They are the same brand computer with the same operating system with the same norton product. The norton update worked on one computer, but it is not showing up on the other when I do live update. Is there a reason for this? When you do live update, shouldn't the new update be downloaded?

The new patch is being given out in a phazed in manner to English versions of the products. A phazed in manner means that some computers will get the new patch and others won't until it has been decided to deploy the patch to everyone. It is possible that 1 computer in the household will get the patch while the others in the same household don't get the patch. Running live update will only give you the update if your computer was chosen to receive it. You may stil get it as it was only started being given out on Monday and it does take time to distribute it also. Thanks.

As a standard practice, we will be deploying the patch in a phased manner. On Monday, May 2nd 2011, we will be releasing the patch to some randomly selected English customers. We will then monitor our telemetry, as well as this forum, for any problem reports or issues.
Once we have confirmed the effectiveness of the patch we will make it available to all customers. We will post an update on the Norton Community Forums when we make the patch available to all customers.

Thanks for the info. I guess I was lucky to get it on the one computer. I didn't realize it went out randomly. I'll patiently wait for the other to pick it up.

I'm using NIS2011 NL 18.5.0.12... so I just have to wait for the update (auto) or can I download it somewhere ?
