Norton is Blocking all links to Publishers Clearing House

I purchased a new license and downloaded the latest version of Norton Internet Security on a new computer. Now my wife can't click on any links to Publishers Clearing house. It comes back and says:

Norton DNS -

Warning! Accessing this web site is NOT allowed.

You attempted to access: link.superprize.pch.com

This is a known "Gambling" web site which is blocked as specified by your web content filtering policy.

I've tryied looking in the options and settings but can't find where it is addressed. Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks!

Welcome,

You are using Noton DNS and I'm going to guess on the most restrictive setting. To all ow more things through you will need to change to one of the less restrictive setting

http://dns.norton.com/dnsweb/homePage.do

is the link to the site where you can get the information you need to make the changes

Keep us posted

Re: Norton is Blocking all links to Publishers Clearing House

Hi IDAZSnowbird,

The website block you are seeing is the work of Norton ConnectSafe (Norton DNS), a standalone product that is not part of Norton Internet Security (so you will not find a setting in NIS to change this).  This is entirely a Norton ConnectSafe issue.  The block is based on the filtering setting you selected when you set up ConnectSafe.  This is determined by your choice of an IP address for the Norton DNS server.  There are three options.  Gambling sites are blocked if you are using the IP address for Policy C: Security + Pornography + Non-Family Friendly.  You will need to change the IP address to the less restrictive Policy A or Policy B.  Depending upon whether your DNS IP address settings were made in your router or your PC, you will need to follow the instructions given in either of the following to make the change:

Computer

Router

Hi dickevans,

I've been to that location several times and haven't been able to get to the right place on my pc to effect the changes.

Thanks anyway!
