Hi Ashley,
Can you just let us know the version of the NIS 2012 you use. You can get this info from Main UI->Support->About
The latest version is 19.1.1.3
Also, can you please let us know the version CoFFPlgn.dll under C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Engine\19.1.1.3 folder? The reason is, the Toolbar version should be 2012.2.0.2 for it to be compatible with FF 7.0
If the file version doesn't say this number, then it means the patch is yet to be applied on your machine.
Can you make sure that LU is run untill it says no updates required?
Let us know if you need any more helps.
Regards,
Prasanna.

Same problem here, with NIS 2011.
Upgraded to Firefox 7.01, and it disabled my Norton Toolbar saying its incompatible. This is 3 - 4 days ago, and liveupdate runs multiple times every day, etc.
Version is 17.9.0.12 (No CoFPP file under the engine directory in NIS 2011 apparently).
Is there any way of getting it to work with NIS 2011 ?
Thanx in advance :)

Hi Placid,
Can you please reconfirm the version of NIS you are using?
NIS 17.9 comes under NIS 2010 and FF 7.0 is not supported with NIS 2010. Norton Toolbar for 7.0 is compatible only from NIS 2011.
Regards,
Prasanna.

This happens very often.
After every Update of firefox we have to wait for the NIS path to get the toolbar back.
Please make the toolbar more compatible, because firefox is getting updatesin short timeframes.

I've got the same issue: I'm using Firefox 7.0.1 and the coFFPlgn.dll is version 2012.2.0.2 and Firefox still says that the toolbar is incompatible. Does anyone know if a fix is coming?

hmmm, i get NIS through my Internet provider, and it says NIS 2011 on their download page (which is the version i have installed). I cant for the life of me find an actual version number in the program though (other than what i listed in my previous post), hehe. Only some SKU numbers, etc.
Maybe i still have the 2010 version (since this program is given to me through a third party, it has limitations.. i cannot upgrade it the normal way. I tried on my former computer a couple of years ago, and Norton flatly refused, saying i didnt have a valid subscription, etc etc.. so i had to wait for my ISP to push out a new version).
I guess i'll just wait. Really sucks as i use the identity safe... ah well.
Thanx for your answer :)

I am also having the same issue for the last week or so.
My NIS version is 19.1.1.3
CoFFPlgn.dll vesion is 2012.1.1.10
I have run LU several times the last week and I shut down my computer every night, so the run LiveUpdate and and restart isn't the solution.

Same old with Norton and Firefox, they really need to sort it out...
Norton don't seem to have an issue with the latest dev builds of Chrome, so why every incremental version of firefox (Release) and come to it Nightly, Aurora, Beta releases does Norton take exception to Firefox??
I think Norton need to rework thier toolbar/protection within firefox so we don't have these issues every release.
Nor only will it save end users time but also in the long term the devs at Norton..
