Nothing happen when clicking Full System Scan

After installing Norton Internet Security for a week, I found that my window media player and The sims 3 game froze up when loading, thus requiring me to force end process through the Task Manager. As it is quite annoying everytime i failed to load this programs, I tried to perform a full scan to my laptop. And to my surprise, when i click "full system scan", nothing comes up. I am sure I ran a full system scan before and it did it job. So what has happened to my laptop and how can I solve it??

Thanks

Re: Nothing happen when clicking Full System Scan

Welcome kingsley90

Can I assume that you

Did not have another security product installed on your computer or that you completely removed it prior to installing NIS? - doing an uninstall from the control panel does not remove ALL of the bits and pieces of any of the good security programs

Did install the laptop version of NIS?

If the answer to the above is 'yes' in both cases then we'll have to dig a bit deeper
