Office 2010

New PC; installed Office 2010 and then Norton 2010 Internet Security.  Nothing in Outlook indicated the presence/installation of Office 2010 or Outlook 2010; nothing on the Norton web site indicates incompatibility or issues.  Is my Inbox being protected?  My incoming e-mail scanned?  Is Norton 2010 Internet Security, with all updates installed, not compatible??

Thank you in advance.

Re: Office 2010

Microsoft Outlook 2010 is not yet compatible with the Norton 2010 products. Please check the following Knowledge Base Article:

Re: Office 2010

By me with the latest Norton 360 version -however in the Norton settings the email client integration is grayed out- the toolbar works fine. I know it's not the official updated toolbar, that will be released only later, but until then you should try it, maybe it will work by you as well.

Re: Office 2010

Thank you..I guess my next question would be, then, if having them both installed (first installing Office 2010 and then Norton Internet Security 2010) on a new build would "hurt" anything...I did notice that the Office integration is turned off in NIS 2010 and that there weren't any Norton toolbars installed...so I'm hoping not.  ODD however, that NIS 2010 is NOT compatible yet given the availability of Office 2010 in some quarters as early as May.

Hi coachjohn57

It will not hurt anything to have them both installed on your new build. Once the compatibility update is released you should see the integration items in NIS2010.
