Password Safe and Chrome

Any idea of when Norton is going to jump on the Bandwagon and allow password safe for Chrome?

I wonder how this can be up for consideration, because I'm  not aware of Chrome or Opera offering any toolbar integration support. They simply don't have toolbars.

Re: Password Safe and Chrome

I can't speak for Opera, but Google Chrome does support tool  bars--they simply appear as "buttons."  I would imagine that there would be a Norton button alongside my other extension buttons (all of which Chrome locates in a group just to the right of the search/address bar).

For instance, instead of toolbars, I have buttons for Adblock, Click and Clean, Google Translate, Flashblock, and some other extensions.  All of these buttons serve as mini-toolbars, and will activate drop-down menus.

Re: Password Safe and Chrome

About six weeks ago, I was speaking to a Norton support representative, and I used the opportunity to ask when the Norton Password safe and other functions of the toolbar would be available for Google Chrome.  It took him about 10 minutes to find the information, but he told me that the developers were hoping to have this available in two months.

If they are on schedule, this should be released by the middle of June, 2010.  I hope it is, because I use Chrome as my default browser, but have to switch to IE when I need the password for my rarely visited sites, such as my health insurance company. It's a pain, but Chrome is so fast that I just can't bear switching back to IE as the default for any reason.
