I'm a Comcast subscriber in Connecticut running Win 7, IE9, and have Norton IS - for the past 2-3 weeks webpages freeze up and go blank - the small windows above the taskbar show the individual webpages but the full screen is blank - I end up closing out and restarting IE .
Just wondering if any other Comast users are experiencing the same or similar ?/

Just to clarify, although your are on Comcast are you in fact using the commercial version of Norton Internet Security - not the Comcast version of Norton Security Suite?
I also am on Comcst and running NIS 2012 on one Win 7 desktp and NSS on another Win 7 desktop and I have not seen what you describe - could you post a screenshot? Here's a How To if you don;t know how to post a screenshot: http://community.norton.com/t5/Forum-Feedback/Foru

hi Ubermax
Is it possible if you can provide additional information in order for us to further troubleshoot this issue?
Browser type and version usd
Version of the Comcast security product
Do you have Comcast Constant Guard or any other Comcast software installed?
What is the version of your OS?
thanks,
Fei

In Forum areas nothing to do with Norton or COMCAST I'm seeing reports of and experiencing myself something very like what you describe that is due to a flashing banner advert for Magic Bullet!
Normally this screen should show the contents of user forums like here in Norton but from a different Host company.
Although I myself am using NIS 2012 I know absolutely that the others experiencing this are not and that the Host company is investigating the problem.
I do use an adblocker -- IE7Pro -- and it looks as if it can be blocked by blocking image files from the source which would be found by right mouse clicking on the area of the advert and selecting Copy Shortcut or by using the context menu Filter THis that my adblocker puts there.
FWIW
