I'm having problems installing Norton Internet Security Netbook Edition. It says to connect to www.norton.com/nisnetbook. Firstly this particular wesite does not come up. When I find what I think is the right site and try to install it tells me that I am trying to install Norton Internet Security and that I need to uninstall Norton Internet Security Netook Edition. But I have not installed this edition and I have no security currently.

Hello Freda
The netbook edition isn't necessary. You can install the regular NIS 2012 on your netbook. Did your netbook come with any security product installed. If it did, that willl have to be uninstalled completely using their removal tool before you can sucessfully install NIS 2012.
You can use this link to install NIS 2012.
Link for NIS 2012
www.norton.com/nis12 (Norton Internet Security 2012)
Please remember to run live update to get all updates and then reboot once more. Thanks.
(thanks to Yaso for the links.
Please come back and let us know how you made out. Thanks.

Not only is the netbook edition unnecessary, it has been discontinued for 2012. If you have a Product Key for a netbook edition, you can use it to install NIS 2012.

Wow thank you so much for that link. I didn't need to uninstall and that link basically did everything for me all I needed to do was put my product key in. It automatically rebooted itself. THanks!!!!
