Live Update is Failing on NIS 2012 - This is the second time in less than 2-3 weeks that this is happening (LU failing) - the first time the problem got solved automatically on the next day

This time Smart Virus Def x64 and Activity Data Fail

Same issue here just thought i would put a pretty picture in.

Started having the issue yesterday with one pc which did not download the Smart Virus Definitions Update with LiveUpdate tried several times and also with the AutoUpdate but did not get it where as the other pc yesterday was fine and did the Smart Virus Defintions Update without a problem and then today i get this error message.

Anyway thanks Norton i am sure the issue will be fixed soon.

And thankyou for the great Norton NIS 2012 Community Forum would be lost without it.

A workaround is too download the Intelligent Updater:

http://www.symantec.com/business/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=n95

I executed this file and readed the log file and all updates seems too be done on my PC for today.

Btw this issue is very similar too what happened in mid march

I still remember this issue I was very worrid, but this time I known it's not related too a PC issue and it's also very nice too hear that I'm not the only one having this issue.

Why does this always happened two-three times a year?
