Unfortunately there are people in the world who pay people to write malware. trojans, spyware, viruses etc. The more machines infected the more money people can make. Don't ask why. :(

You do need to maybe disable threatfire.

I didn't say to rerun GMER, and I only needed from devices and below and that is what I got,   the .txt section (---- User code sections) is no concern.

Quads, all I can say is you ROCK! System's up and running as normal. I've run SAS and MBAM and Norton360 scans and all appears to be good. I removed Threatfire's resident status. It's supposed to prevent rootware invasions so it didn't really do me any good having it resident and possibly conflicting with Norton.

How do I stamp this issue resolved on the board? Thanks again for your patience and your commitment.
