What a pathetic effort ,shame on you Symantec.....I have now really had all i can take of NIS 2012 .

Logins.......Why if you go to Ebay does the password name STILL appear in the" place a bid box"?

Yahoo games STILL not working...Nis 2012 is blocking the url....chess and bridge.And yes i have tried all the various flash player/java combinations/the pages are completely non functional.

Despite having 800 days subscription left i am now uninstalling this security suite which since its launch has been a total waste of time,it is by far the worst security suite ever launched by Symantec .

The time taken to address the bugs in it is totally unacceptable and when addressed the fixes do not work!!!!

I'm sorry to hear that you are still having problems with Norton NIS 2012.

For reference purposes,could you bring us up-to-date on the specifications of the system where you have  NIS 2012 installed?

From your previous posts, it appears that you are running Norton on:

HP 64-bit desktop computer, quad-core

but it is not clear which operating system you are running -  is it still Vista Home Premium SP1 or is it Windows 7 Professional now?  How much RAM -- 4 GB or 8 GB? Which version of Java do you have installed?  Which browser and version are you using?

Also are you still sure that you are not running any other kind of real-time security software in addition to Norton?

That Ebay bug is a pain to be honest...NIS 12 putting your username in a bidding box...lol

Also - The Norton plugins for IE9 are still “adversely colliding” with Realplayer’s video capture plugin, causing the current browser tab to freeze on various websites—i.e., Roadrunner’s webmail website.  This has been the case with all 19.1.x NIS2012 releases and it is still the case with the latest 19.2.x release/update.  The current workaround (that I am using) is to use the IE9 Add-ons manager (in the Tools menu) to disable the Realplayer capture plugin – it's either that or the obviously less desirable option of disabling the Norton plugins…

... and there's me just about to switch from NIS 2011 to NIS 2012 now that 19.2 has been released with the published fixes.

I think I'll hang off a while longer then as NIS 2011 is still working flawlessly for me

I Have a HP s5760 uk,8GB ram,Windows 7 Professional,AMD Quad Core processor 3.0 GZ.

I Have Java 6 update 29,Adobe flash player 11 64 bit and IE9.

There is no other security software on this machine and never has been from new which is not even a year,the only thing i have done is upgrade the ram from 4GB to 8GB.

To clarify if you open Yahoo games the page is totally un active you have to use task manager to close it, nothing at all works.

I have now uninstalled 2012 and reinstalled 2011 and everything works perfect so it is something to do with 2012.

The bug where your user name goes into the bidding box is still there in 2012 as are other sites one may visit,i conclude yet again 2012 is a total shambles.

Whatever happened to good old security software,old anti-virus and firewall, that is all we need not complicated software that does not work properly.
