Reviews for Norton Version:

Yesterday I installed Norton Version and so far everything is working fine. I upgraded from Norton Version I like the information and layout of this new version. I have Windows Vista Home Premium and IE 9.

Our other older computer has Windows XP and IE8. This computer still has Norton Version Has anyone on this forum with Windows XP and IE8 installed the Norton Version and had success with it?  We are a little concerned that the new version of Norton might not be compatible with Windows XP and IE8. I might also say that the Windows XP computer also has the latest versons of Firefox and Google Chrome installed.

We would appreciate any comments.

Re: Reviews for Norton Version:

I upgraded 2 weeks ago. Have XP Pro SP3. The only glitch was, on boot up, Norton was late to my SysTray and when it showed up it was red checked. This was a known issue with the update which Norton resolved with an auto-update fix a couple of days later. This new version currently works bettter with XP than Win7 and 8, which still have various problems, mainly with e-mail.

So personally I think you are good to go.

Cheers, Dave

Re: Reviews for Norton Version:

Hi, Holly. Norton V IS compatible with both XP and Windows 8. There have been a few problems with compatibility between the Toolbar Identity Safe and Windows 8.1, but Symantec is currently working on a fix.
