I requested my verification string and posted the meta tag in the head section above the body. However, the verification process fails, telling me I must put the meta tag in first.
The site is hosted via blogger.
I saw another blogger site owner had the same issue and had to get a manual verification. Is this an issue with blogger sites or am I just doing something wrong?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi NibbleMeThis,
Welcome to the Norton Community.
You site building program has somewhat mangled the safe web META tag so it cannot be automatically verified.
An example from your Meta tag: content=”rwg9ntl6d-.
The area in bold is wrong. This section should read content="rwg9ntl6d"
The good news is that I can see the entire 128 character alpha-numeric code so I have notified the safe web team and requested manual ownership verification of your website. Please allow them 1-2 days to respond to you in this thread to confirm this has taken place.
In the meantime please leave your alpha-numeric code in place until ownership has been verified by the safe web team.
Best wishes.
Allen

Hi NibbleMeThis
Your site ownership has been manually verified and your site 'nibblemethis.com' has been submitted for analysis. Note that the initial evaluation process takes about two weeks to complete.
