Who here would like to see a sandbox in Norton Internet Security 2012?.Lets be honest the difference between Norton Internet Security 2010 and 2011 was very small. Sandbox is the next step up in making Norton the best internet security ever. It's a big change and worth spending £50 on. Kaspersky and Comodo has seen how much more protection is possible with sandbox. It's time for Norton to take the next step up in internet security, if they do not take the step up the competitors will move ahead, and we don't want that.
All Symantec want is the utmost protection for their users. Give us something big with norton internet security 2012, a big change, sandbox is the way to do that. Take the step and prove not only your the best internet secuirty option, but your willing to use any way possible to protect your users.

Hi iamhigh,
If you agree with the idea, one of the best ways to show support is to give Kudos to the original author, as well as adding your comment as bjm stated.
Best wishes.

Do you have any evidence to backup that Kaspersky and Comodo has seen how much more protection is possible with sandbox. Kaspersky has a virtual keybd to block keyloggers. Should Norton products also have a virtual keybd. Maybe Kaspersky offers a virtual keybd because their protection is lacking. Or, it's just marketing.
Marketing new toys is business. I'd rather have the attention and resources of my chosen security app devoted to their established core security functions. If Symantec does offer a sandbox I hope it's not based upon marketing. There are sandbox apps you can run today with Norton products that devote their attention and resources to their established core sandbox functions.
Respectfully submitted

I certainly don't want to see a sandbox option, imagine how much resorces this takes, Kaspersky is now the norton of old in my opinion, BLOATED!
Keep Norton lean and mean is what i say, all the reviews say It's currently the best security software outthere, and thats without a sandbox!

Hi Folks,
Everyone has their own idea of what would be useful features. I also personally would not want to run anything in a sandbox but at the same time I'm OK with Norton having that option as long as that feature can be turned OFF for those like myself who don't want it. ![]()
Best wishes.

A sandbox offers protection, proof is other security firms are using them. The option to put a sandbox on the web browser is very important. I'm sure Norton could create a user friendly sandbox.. It would be a big change for them, something we need after the small change with 2010-2011. Norton should be using every way possible to protect ius its users.

Well a sandbox might offer more protection, but the fact of the matter is a feature like that would only be suitable/used by advanced/power/paranoid users.
I don't know what percentage of Norton is sold to "the average joe" who just wants to install and forget, but i bet its pushing 80%.
Ive had computers since the Sinclair ZX81 and ive never had any reason or desire to run a program in a protected area first.
In future years when im dowloading msn messenger 2015, Photoshop cs10, or whatever, I wont be wanting to run these in a sandbox area first!, and as things are moving ill probably be running them in the "cloud" anyway!
If people want this then get the separate program for it, or at the very least Norton should keep it to the 360 product version.
