Scripts are not loading in page

Can some one tell me how to check Whether NIS 2010 is blocking MSJava scripts. Whether NIS 2010 is deleting scripts which are useful. Whether NIS 2010 is blocking Active x. I am using the Widows XP Home, SP3, IE8, Latest version of Java, and MS Java also. I am using D-link ADSL wireless modem 2600T. I found this problem in www.sbicapsec.com web page. System could not load live quotation for various stocks. I contacted IT support team of www.sbicapsec.com. They suggested various methodologies but it never work. Thanks in advance. Biri

Re: Scripts are not loading in page

Hello biri,

NIS 2010 does not get involved with the blocking of Java Scripts or ActiveX controls unless they are deemed to be malicious.  For those cases, you would see references to the NIS actions in the History Window under Resolved Security Risks.

Java Scripts and ActiveX controls are generally enabled or disabled through bowser settings and add-ons.  Have you checked there?

When you mentioned: " System could not load live quotation for various stocks" , are you referring to the scrolling marquee at the top of the page?  If so, it is visible to me.

Re: Scripts are not loading in page

Hello biri

Welcome to the Norton Users Discussion Forum

It is possible also that some sort of malware might be preventing you from seeing the stock quotes.

Have you cleaned out the temporary files in the Java cache lately? There is only so much room in there and it is possible that the cache might be full. Getting stock quotes on the net can fill you up with temp files, so I would suggest trying to clear out your temp files and also the temp files that you can find in the Java Control Panel itself. Also please make sure that you have deleted the old Java programs that you used previously as they could cause malware also.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.
