Search Engine Safety not populating

Hi Forum

Here's a new one ...just noticed....Google and Yahoo search results not population Site safety rating.  Ask Safe Search is populating Site safety rating.   Funny, earlier today I posted how uneventful my Upgrade has been.  No good deed ....

Re: Search Engine Safety not populating

Forum please advise >  Are Google and Yahoo Search Engines results populating Norton Safety Rating.   My search results with Google and Yahoo are not displaying Norton Safety Rating.  Ask SafeSearch is displaying Rating.

Please advise

Thank you

Re: Search Engine Safety not populating

Hi Forum

Since, I have not received any feedback from Community...I will offer Community some feedback.  Chat Support has just advised me after viewing my issue with Remote Access that this is known issue with 10.1

Chat reported some websites and search engine results are not populating safety rating Icon.   Fix will be released via Live Update.  Odd, I have not read any posts about Safety ratings not populating.  I thought I was only one.  So, I requested feedback from Community....hope to still get Forum feedback just to verify what Chat reported to me.

Thanks

I remember coming across a known conflict with the SafeWeb annotations and Skype toolbar. If you have Skype toolbar enabled, can you disable it and see if you get the site safety ratings.

mythbuster:

The problem was solved by uninstalling NIS 2010 and reinstalling it ;-)

A reinstallation usually seems to resolve the issue of missing checkmarks in Google searches (even though "Enhance Search Engine results" in NIS 2010 is turned on); the missing checkmarks are very probably the result of a glitchy upgrade (over-install) from NIS 2009 to NIS 2010, from what I have seen so far (due to flawed/crippled Norton plug-ins in Internet Explorer and Firefox after the upgrade).
