Securit Center and NAV2010

Security Center is not seeing NAV. It was last week.

Is there anything I can do to fix this, other than have SC not monitor AV,

A reinstall of NAV needed??

Sometimes a reinstall will take care of it. Do you have more than 1 anti-virus or anti-malware software running ?

Norton 360 2013 v20.3.0.36

Re: Securit Center and NAV2010

Hi Ken,

Sometimes, unregistering and re-registering WMIUTILS.DLL file will fix this issue.
1. Click the Start > Run.
2. In the Run dialog box, type the following text:
regsvr32 /u WMIUTILS.DLL
3. Click OK.
4. Restart the computer.
5. Click the Start > Run.
6. In the Run dialog box, type the following text:
regsvr32 WMIUTILS.DLL
7. Click OK.
8. Restart the computer.

If the problem persists, you may need to delete the Repository folder from c:\windows\system32\wbem.Better Ignore the alert from Windows Security Center as you can always check the status of the Norton 2010 program from the taskbar icon. As long as the Norton icon shows GREEN tick, you don't have to worry about the protection of your computer.

Re: Security Center and NAV2010

Thank you very much for your help.

I did a reinstall last night and that worked.

Wish I had waited to try your fix, Yogesh.
