Live Update Failing Continously for the past few days. There seems to be a serious problem and intermittent fixes are not going to be a long term solution. This issue needs proper introspection in my opinion.

I agree royalabraham I just got mine but what is this some kind of insurmountable problem or do they want you to try different sec software I wonder if NIS 2011 having the same problem..........Gorpy1

Hmmm just got a full virus def that installed properly. Perhaps run LiveUpdate again or switch over to full definition (switch off smart definitions). Also, with the full defs, you are getting more protection due to the program using a more complete set of definitions.

After I tried that (Full Virus Defs) Whitelist would not update........I'm sick of this problem......Gorpy1

If you see this issue, please email me this file at Tony_Weiss[at}Symantec.com:

C:\ProgramData\Norton\{0C55C096-0F1D-4F28-AAA2-85EF591126E7}\NIS_19.0.0.128\Lue\Logs

Do this immediately following the failure. Also, please let us know which item is failing.

Once you've sent me the logs, please try running LiveUpdate again, and let me know what happens. Screenshots are also very helpful for both the 1st and 2nd runs of LU. Thanks.

Tony My Updates are working again and I have NO Idea Where to find that file, I have XP I believe that file may be hidden but again I have no idea where it is.......Thanks.....Gorpy1

I've had this problem with NIS2011 18.6.0.29, I do a live update in the morning on my xp computer and Norton doesn't install everything. but once I reboot and try again norton updates...strange.
