I see that its now availalbe for general release. Great I though... tried to LU manually and it just keeps telling me that its all up to date no further action needed. I have set Auto LU and it still hasnt downloaded the update... so is it really available for general release? Do some of the LU problems mean that it cant be downloaded?? Any light shed would be mightily appreciated... its a pain to stop the indexing services and I would like to get the issues resolved... many thanks...

Hmmm well its been 3 days and its on a general release and it seems most people are downloading it with no problem via LU, it seems that mine believes its up to date... I am willing to wait a couple more days but the length of time it takes to download this is a bit ridiculous...

OK -- certainly some users there have received the update. But none of us know what magic formula Symanatec use to distribute.

Patience is the only solution, I'm afraid. Nothing you or anyone else seems to have any effect on what happens.

It is generally released but on a phased basis.

shadowdh, if you run LiveUpdate manually, over and over, until no more updates are available and reboot, you should see 16.1 in the About box. If not, we'll have to diagnose why your machine is not receiving the update.
