I have been reading threads regarding making changes in Program Control in Norton's Smart Firewall crashing Symantec Framework. As well as Lenevo computers with a certain quick boot I believe, I don't have a Lenevo computer so I wouldn't know I have just read about it, I'm wondering how many Window 7 computers are having this problem, I would stay out of program control, usually Norton will make any changes needed to make sure your programs work o.k, P.S I'm sure P.C checkup is safe if it's from Norton however I'm not sure what to tell you about it. .............Best, Gorpy1

When symantec framework crashes just log off and log on into your account. After that it seems to be working fine.

Well I can try that, However when Symnatec Framework crashes NIS 2012 will not even load, which may make it hard to log into your account, Do you mean re-boot because that will usually get Norton to load and fixed, Do you have an XP sp3 O.S ?Thanks....Best..............Gorpy1

My norton crashes when I try to open Program Control. It takes a while and then crashes. Didn't have this problem before the weekend.
Any fix available?

Yes, I believe so. Just stay out of Program Control for a while, The guy went to a doctor and said my arm hurts when I go like this, so the doctor told him Don't go like this
, I'm sure it'll show up in Community watch or error ques, and Norton will correct the problem when they can If you have XP a reboot will usually correct the problem for now...........Best, Gorpy1

lol? thats not a fix. I need to edit a program that is being blocked by NIS. And I need it now. Can't wait for it a week or something till they release a fix.
That's like telling someone who just bought a car they cant ride it on the highways.

The issue is solved, probably due to an update that has been released for this.

Got a "sick" e-mail update supposedly from THIS Thread that's not even from this thread, Now when I click the view button the post will not show up now, Thank God. I just ran a full System Scan too with NIS 2012 right before receiving it. I also posted this in the Forums Posts......Anyone else? Thanks.......Best....Gorpy1 P.S It was from someone called kyolive
