On my windows 7/Norton IS 2010, IE 8 take longer to start.

So I take a look to additional components in tool menu and i find that this component take from 55s to 60s to start.

Solution?

The dll you have indicated is part of Norton Confidential, which protects you from identity theft and phishing while browsing. Is overall browsing in IE8 slow, or is just the launching of IE8 delayed?

Check whether IE 8 is set to ALLOW in the Program Rules of Firewall Settings. Then try resetting the IE 8 settings, here are the steps:

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. On the Advanced tab, click Reset.
4. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset to confirm.
