Re: Symantec Service Framework errors with NIS 16.5.0.135

OK, think I will try to sit this out then and wait for the new patch - hope I don't have to reinstall.

Thanks again to you all:smileyhappy:

Re: Symantec Service Framework errors with NIS 16.5.0.135

Hi, Papageitaucher,

My apology for not following up with you. After I read through all the exchanges, I understood that you have a German version of NIS. Then your Symantec Service Framework issue is caused by something else other that the 16.7.2 patch. We have released 16.7.2 engine patch to everyone, but localized products require localized language patch. We have not released any localized languate patches yet. This explained why you have a 16.7.10 folder but your product version is 16.5.0.

I'll have someone on the team to contact you and get the logs. We can take from there.

Re: Symantec Service Framework errors with NIS 16.5.0.135

Haven't had a crash of Symantec Service Framework for a whole week now:smileyhappy:.It seems that LiveUpdate changed my engine sublibrary 16.7.2.10 as the most recent modules contained are now dated 08/21/09. Still the NIS info box says I'm running 16.5.0.135 and I also have both of those engine sublibraries. Anyway, I'm very happy that my system is now stable again.
