TDSS897c.tmp file Bacdoor.Tidse

My Symantec keeps finding this file and prompting me to restart to complete removal. Ive done this 30 or so times . Still there . Keeps saying it was unable to complete remediation on reboot. I shut off system restore reran a scan and still its there. I ran it from safe mode and still its there. I tried to go in under dos prompt and was denied access. anyone have any idea how to get rid of it,

Bill

Hi

It's a TDSS temp. file

Try Malwarebytes, http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php install, Update Definitions, then run a Full Scan,

Are you using XP or Vista??

Hi billa

What is the location of the file, and have you tried to delete it manually?

Thanks

PS If you are still unable to delete the file and Malwarebytes' can't delete it, run this Virus Remval Tool in normal or safe mode and it should get rid of it for you.
