Temp folder contains Scoped_Dir folders

My temp folder has only recently started filling up with Scoped_Dir..... Folders. I cannot located the program or service that is causing them. An internet search indicated the folders might be linked to Google chrome or steam but I don't think so. I can easily delete them however if I don't make the effort they quickly accumulate, I had over 600 of these folders within a matter of days. Both NIS and NPE say there is not problem but something has started this problem. Any ideas?

Last was unhelpful. Anyone out there had similar issue or can suggest way forward to eliminate the cause?

Re: Temp folder contains Scoped_Dir folders

nigel1, these folders are created by Steam. They're not malicious, just a pita. You can easily bulk delete them from your temporary files folder, by using a program such as CCleaner.

Re: Temp folder contains Scoped_Dir folders

Ok. I will accept they are steam related and simply clear them on a regular basis. Thanks for the replies.

Hi nigel1

Did you mark the correct post as the solution? From your last post, it would seem that F4E's post might be the solution.
