The Norton Toolbar went missing in IE8 following a Windows Update. Until then it worked fine. The system is Windows 7 x64, and it's missing from both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Internet Explorer.
I also have Firefox installed, and the toolbar is alive and well there.
How do I reinstall it?
Thanks
WR

Hello wrash and welcome!
Which Windows update do you feel affected the Norton Toolbar?
The Norton Toolbar is not supported by IE8 64 bit, so you will not see it there.
In IE8 32 bit have you checked that it is not just hidden? Select "View" > "Toolbars".
You could also check for the add-ons: "Tools" > "Manage Add-ons". You should see three add-ons listed under Symantec Corporation:
• Norton Toolbar
• Symantec NCO BHO
• Symantec Intrusion Prevention
Norton 360 • Norton Internet Security • Norton Zone | XP SP3 • Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64
• PLEASE, BACKUP or EXPORT your Identity Safe Data on a regular basis •

It turns out they were disabled.
Part of the problem is that I was looking at the tools menu in IE x64. Once I located the old 32-bit version, and went to manage add-ons, they were listed as disabled. So I enabled them.
Thanks!
WR
