Transferring account to new computer

[ Edited ]

I have had to purchase a new computer and for security reasons immediately took up a Norton package on 60 days appro.  I still had several months subscription on the application on my old computer (renewed on January 6, 2011).  How can I transfer the balance of this subscription to the new application.  Many thanks,  Bob Howe

It is better to contact the Customer Support Team. They may be able to combine the subscription. Give that a try. You can contact them at:

Chat is the best option. You need to scroll down to find the Chat option.

If you are using a 60 day trial version of exactly the same progam that you have the KEY for (the year can be different)  then all you need to do is to click on Subscribe or Renew or whatever the wording is on the Norton screen and enter the KEY that you have in the box for an existing KEY.

If it ask you to create a MyNortonAccount point it to the same MyNortonAccount as you already created -- same email address and password -- and don't create a new one. In fact when you point it to that MyNortonAccount it may pick up the KEY automatically.

IF you get a message saying you have exceeded the permitted number of activations then contact Norton's OnLine Customer Support as CyberLife indicates and tell them about the previous computer installation and they will adjust the database.

Do the same if you donm't get a message but find that it has notched up another activation out of those available under your licence (some come OK for up to 3 PCs) and again they will correct the figure.

If your trial installation is not identical to the version you have a key for let us know and we can give you a link to download the current matching version ....... but you'll have to tell us exactly what you had.

Many thanks to CyberLife and Hugh.  I will try your suggestions.

Also, apologies the initial, illegal attachment.

Let us know how it goes ...

The deletion was to protect you and your licence registration not so much illegal as unsafe!
