Trojan Byte Virus

Hi.  I seem to have picked up some sort of Trojan.Byte virus.  I ran Norton AV Scan but although it found the virus it said it couldn't fix it.  It gave me the option of deletiing it manually which I did but now I cannot access the internet so presumably the Trojan is still infecting my laptop.  Will it fix it if I run it in Safe Mode?

Any other suggestions?

These Link are suggested by Delphinium please move to the following sites

They will help you get rid of the malware any other threat that was undetected!!

Please registry in any one site only registering in multiple forums can cause problems and people may stop helping you on the forum!!!

As for the net goes I think the virus may have modified the registry.

Have you tried updating Norton???

If updating Norton works then get  Hijack This copy it to your computer using pen drive, scan give a screen shot of the page.

Don`t Fix anything It may make things worse!

Using either snipping Tool / alt+prnt scrn key!!.

Re: Trojan Byte Virus

Hi boristhebold,

Some malware will reset your connection to use a proxy, which you may then need to undo after removing the virus.  Follow the instructions given here by Quads to check this:
