Trojan Virus not supported by Norton?

I ran the Complete Scan and got a high risk from a trojan virus that stated I needed help from Symantec to fix....so I clicked on the link and it says that the page for this is not found.  I also did the search and it did not come up...the Norton Virus calls it:

trojan.zeroaccess!kmem

Could I please get help on resolving this issue?

Thanks

Hello Cowboy_Coach

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum

Based on what I found while doing a Google search on this malware, I would recommend a visit to one of the free malware removal sites where they will work with you on a 1 to 1 basis. This malware could be associated with a rootkit. Please visit one of these sites and register with them and put the name of the trojan in the topic line and tell them what  you have done so far.

Please go to one of these free Forums for help in removing your bad malware or rootkits.

trojan.zeroaccess!kmem   Zeoaccess (Max++) is a rookit, and a rootkit is malware.

Hi,

Security software plays catch-up all of the time. No matter how good it gets at detecting threats someone will find a way to get past the barrier. No one security product can keep you threat free all of the time. The other sites that have been recommended have experts who have been trained and tested in the ways and means of removing threats that do slip through.

I do not feel that it's practical for any one vendor to try to be all things to all users all of the time. The cost of that type of an organization would make MS look like a mom-and-pop come lately startup. So like so many other professions each does it's best to be the expeert in their area and provide referals when a problem is in another area.

Hope this helps
