Hi, I have been trying to run one of my applications and it keeps getting blocked as it was getting too close to ccsvchst.exe .

I have tried turning off every security on my norton(Norton Internet Security) and it is still blocked. Is there a solution to allow that application to get through? Thanks.

Hi freestyle84,

You are referring to a Norton Product Tamper Protection event.  Your program is being prevented from accessing Norton's process data (as any other outside program would be), but is not being prevented from otherwise running normally and connecting to the internet if that is what it is trying to do.  Whatever the issue is, it is probably unrelated to this Tamper Protection action.  Please let us know which program is involved, what it is being prevented from doing, and what notifications you are seeing.  If the program is listed in the Norton Smart Firewall Program Control list and shown as "Auto," then Norton is not blocking the program from internet access.

Hi SendOfJive, thanks for your help, issue has been resolved by reinstalling my application as well as changing the "auto" to "allowed" in the smart firewall program controlled list. Thank you. :)

Glad to hear it is working correctly now.  It sounds like you also might have been able to resolve this by using the firewall reset option in the Smart Firewall Advanced Settings.
