I just upgraded to Norton 2012 from Norton 2011. But I have noticed under History it at times for both 2011 and 2012 editions of Norton says Unauthorized Acess Blocked (Set Registry Security Key). This is marked Blocked and No Action required. Does anyone know what this means,as Severity is marked Medium?

All it means is that another process has come into contact with a Norton file, folder or process, and been blocked by Norton's tampering protection. It doesn't mean malicious activity. This happens daily on all systems. Most often it is by conhost.exe or some other Microsoft process. If you want, you can post what process is being blocked, but chances are it's just a harmless file that has read a Norton process and been blocked.

Thanks, I'm sure you're correct. I get worried when I see Medium or High severity, especially since so many Live Updates are marked that way just recently. But I can redo the Live Update until I get it. I'm marking this as solved.
