 wenn ich die Upgradeversion von Norton Internet Security 2010 kaufe und ich meinen Rechner formatiere, muss ich dann erst Norton Internet Security 2009 installieren damit ich Norton Internet Security 2010 installieren kann?

Hallo, leider sprechen hier fast alle Englisch ;-))) Also, wenn Du nur die Upgrade-Version kaufst, dann hast Du ja nicht die Vollversion gekauft. NIS 2009 muss also vorher installiert sein, es sei denn, Du kaufst Dir die Vollversion von NIS 2010.
Du kannst, um ganz sicher zu sein, auf Deutsch mit dem Symantec Kundendienst chatten:

Ich bin mir aber ganz sicher, dass Du NIS 2009 vorher installieren musst, um die Upgrade-Version von 2010 hinzuzuinstallieren.

I am very sure that you have to have (the full) version of NIS 2009 installed in advance if you want to install the upgrade version of NIS 2010 "on top" of it.

NIS2009 musste nicht installiert werden, nur 2010 mit dem alt "subscription number",und dann aktivieren mit dem Upgrade licence. Aber ich denke, dass nach dem Upgrade die alte Licence zum erneuerten Date gültig wird.

I think there's a difference between the "upgrade" version of a Norton product and the "full" version of said product. In a shop. I have often seen them in shops (over here, at least) myself, and once I nearly bought an "upgrade" version, and then the salesman told me that I had to have a full and valid version of the previous product to install the upgrade version, otherwise I had to buy the full new version. That's what I understood when Smiths said that he wants to install the "upgrade" version."Upgrade" is indicated on the packaging. It is not indicated on the packaging of the "full" versions. That is how I've seen it in Switzerland, at least ;-) Smiths, did I understand you correctly? Now, if you want to download/buy the full version of NIS 2010, then it's different, then NIS 2009 doesn't have to pre-installed, and you can activate NIS 2010 with your NIS 2009 product key. And if you install the full version of NIS 2010, then you don't need to have NIS 2009 already installed. So, I hope that was not confusing ;-)

Smiths, so wie ich es verstanden habe, wirst Du nur die "Upgrade" Version von NIS 2010 kaufen, nicht die Vollversion. Und zwar im Laden. Ich selber habe mal fast die Upgrade-Version eines Nortonproduktes gekauft - bis der Verkäufer mich darauf hinwies, dass ich eine Vollversion der Vorgängerversion installiert haben musste, damit  ich die Upgrade Version verwenden konnte. Ansonsten: Vollversion kaufen :-)) Auf der Packung steht dann: Upgrade. Bei den Vollversionen ist das ja nicht angegeben. Zumindest habe ich das in der Schweiz gesehen ;-)
Habe ich Dich richtig verstanden? Wenn Du die Vollversion von NIS 2010 herunterladen und installieren möchtest, dann ist das eine andere Sache. Dann brauchst Du nur den Produktschlüssel von NIS 2009/der Vorgängerversion, die Du momentan auf dem Rechner hast. Und NIS 2009 musst du nicht vorher installieren, wenn Du die Vollversion NIS 2010 installierst. So, ich hoffe, dass ich Dich nicht verwirrt habe ;-)

The difference between the Upgrade and Full version is only the subscription key, the setup is the same. The upgrade key is 20 digit, the full is 25. If you install any version (2009 or 2010), you have to use first the 25 digit key by the activation, and after that key is expired you can use the 20 digit upgrade key.
And as I previously wrote, I think after the upgrade key is activated, the old key will be valid to the date the upgrade key extended it.



Die Differenz zwishen den Upgrade und Full Version ist die Activations Nummer, der Installationspack ist nicht different. Der Upgrade Nummer ist ein 20-Karakter, der Full is 25-Karakter lang. Wenn du start ein Installation, du musst der Product mit einem Full Nummer installieren, denn kannst du der Upgrade aktivieren.
Und wie ich vorhin geschrieben habe, ich denke , dass wenn du aktivierst ein Upgrade licence der alte Full licence zum Date der Upgrade ist gültig erneuert werde.
