Re: Upgrade to NIS 2011 from a NIS 2010 trial version?

Hi wolfie882,

One word of clarifcation. In your situation of having a trial version of NIS 2010, this can be activated to turned into a regular subscription simply by entering the product key through Express Renewal when you near the end of your trial.

You would not need to reinstall NIS 2010. You would only be dealing with a difference in the product key which does not require reinstallation.

Installing NIS again would only be necessary when you go to NIS 2011 since it is a completely different product version but here again as others have stated the product key is the same for 2010 vs 2011. This is true because the product key is tied to an actual subscription and not a particular version of the product.

Best wishes.

Allen

Success.

I entered the key from my retail NIS 2010 Upgrade pack in the Express Renewal screen on my NIS2010 trial version. Then downloaded and installed NIS2011 without a glitch.

Thanks for answering the only uncertainty I had which was whether a retail KEY would activate an OEM trial version so now I know the answer.

Now enjoy but if you have a question, a problem or an answer you know where to come!
