Re: Upgrading NIS 2008 to NIS 2009

OK, upgrading works just fine.

But where is the LiveUpdatebutton in the Configuratiescreen! (other options)

Especially Updatecache.

Glad to hear it.

As I said I hzve the US edition but if it's the same as the Dutch it does not have a LiveUpdate Button but it does have an active link with the words Run LiveUpdate on the front page of the GUI, under Computer and before you get to Internet.

I don't know what you mean by Updatecache.

HELP is good in NIS2009 so click on Help & Support amd then on Help and in my experience you will find instructions with links.

If not come and ask again but please explain in much more detail what you mean and if it is a problem details of your system and what you are doing.

Re: Upgrading NIS 2008 to NIS 2009

Yes I understand how to run LiveUpdate.

But I am talking about NIS 2008 LiveUpdate configuration which I can't find in NIS 2009.

Especially about expres modus/ interactive modus - FTP - HTTP - ISP - updatecache cleaning.

Made some screenshots en paste them in to a worddoc. See screenshots:

Re: Upgrading NIS 2008 to NIS 2009

Liveupdate in the 2009s is totally different; it is not a separate utility in Control Panel. I am familar with the settings you refer to although I never do anything about update cache cleaning.

Any configuration in the new liveupdate is within the Computer / Settings and basically are On and Off for Automatic and for Pulse.

That's the way it's been put together.
