Upgrading to NIs 2010

Hi,

I am thinking of upgrading to NIs 2010 on my computer.  I have nis 2009 on my computer right now.  I know some people are having problems with upgrading to NIS 2010.  Can you remove NIs 2009 with add remove programs on windows xp. Then can you install Nis 2010.

Thanks

P.S Are people having a lot of problems when there are install Nis 2010 over Nis 2009.

Re: Upgrading to NIs 2010

Hi,

I just installed 2010 over the top of 2009 and it worked just fine.

Cheers.

I also upgraded without removing NIS 2009 and had no problems.

Just go ahead with an install of 2010 over 2009 and it should be OK. There have been some people for whom this has not been a total success but, for the majority of people, it has been fine. In the unlikely event that you get a problem then please return here and we will help to address whatever it is.

Re: Upgrading to NIs 2010

It is safe for most people to upgrade on top off.

If you want less chances for bugs you'd better uninstall 2009 first --> reboot --> install v2010
