I have a number of websites I want to have verified but I use website tonight and there is no root folder. I have added the norton folder and content into the home pages as meta data (as suggested in another thread). Can the following websites be verified?  :

I can view your authentication code in the meta tags for the sites listed and I will mark your post to the attention of the Safe Web team who will respond back to you in this thread.

I noticed that you have the same authentication code entered for modernhypnosis.ie and modernhypnosis.net sites. 

You might want to mention how these two sites are structured / related to each other.

 www.modernhypnosis.ie      shows a rating of 5.0 and considered to be secure.

 www.modernhynosis.net     does not show any rating and currently under testing.

 www.theirishhypnotistregister.com   shows a rating of 5.0 and considered to be secure.

 www.purehypnosis.net    has a rating of 5.0 but is currently under testing.

 www.jdhypnotherapy.com   currently under testing.

I believe garymcgrath wants to complete the site ownership verification process not only to get all the sites rated, but also to utilize other aspects of the Norton Safe Web program available to site owners.

Hi Trojan,

Thanks for your help. ModernHypnosis.net is the original site and the domain is registered with godaddy. I also purchased the ModernHypnosis.ie around the same time but lleft it idle because the web building packages available for ".ie" domains were more expensive and I was already familiar with website tonight. GoDaddy can't transfer ".ie" domains to their system so I forwarded the ".ie" extension to the ".net" equivalent, meaning people could clearly see in the search results that my site was an Irish site, but it would forward to the ".net" domain hosting the website. Is that clear, or have I just messed up everyones head?

That is very clear. I had a feeling that one was pointing to the other.

I wanted to make sure that we had all the information required for the Safe Web team to get started. I'm sure if they have any further questions about the site forwarding they will ask.

Someone from Safe Web should be responding soon, so if you haven't done so already, in your Norton Community Profile select the option under Preferences to "Automatically Subscribe Me to Threads I Participate In".  That way you will received an email notification that a response has been posted.

Thanks Nithya, and thanks again Trojan. But do I come here to request verification for future sites, or is there another way to verify sites with symantec?

Can you also verify HennessyHypnotherapy.com  ?    I just built it yesterday and have inserted the file and code into the meta data tags.

Currently, the only way to utilize the automated verification process is to place the nortonsw code in the Root Directory.

Since you do not have access there, you should continue to place the code in a Meta Tag and then post the URL here in the forums just as you have with HennessyHypnotherapy and the other sites.
