Hi: Pardon my stupidity LOL but.... I found a nis 2010 package on amazon for less then the renew price norton offers Im up for renew a few mo's.
The thing says one user 3 pc's. I have one pc and we use admistrator side of xp plus limited user side of xp to surf.
Is one user able to run norton on both sides of pc admistrative and limited user?
Will it be identical to what I have now?

1 user 3 pc's
You can load this on to 3 different pc's that are registered to one person, via your Norton Account, i.e. in one household.
On each pc you can have multiple users able to log on, they will all be covered.

I assume you already have NIS 2010, or NIS 2009 which has been upgraded to 2010.
What version do you see if you click 'Help & Support' at the top of the Norton Window.
If you purchase elsewhere as you say, and you are already using NIS 2010
You can click 'Express Renewal' on the Norton window, and in the next popup, enter you purchased key into the box, and click the little arrow beside it.
Then follow any instructions given about registering etc.
When you enter and register you new key, you will lose any remaing days you have left on your current licence.
So I would suggest you don't enter your new key until near its last few days.
BUT again, do not let it 'Run Out', as it will stop working, and you will not be protected.
