All,
The 2011 products should be out in the next few weeks - there are still some preparations that need to be made.
We'll post more information as it becomes available.
Thank you everyone for your patience ![]()

The available Japanese version, build 18.0.0.128 is the last version from the 18.0 beta builds, which was available to download around 2 months ago or so. Version 18.1.0.37 was the latest build available for us to download during the beta tests. This was a very stable version, and it seems it will be the RTM one as well (we can guess it from the removed link), but we should wait until anyone from Symantec will announce it. It is possible that they only test the updated webpages with that build or so, and maybe the RTM one will be a newer build we never saw.
So I would suggest Everybody to wait a bit for the official announcement, and then download please any version. Removing any non RTM builds is not easy, and you can/will have troubles if the uninstaller wont work properly.....
EDIT: Tim, you was faster......
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x64 Hungarian, Norton 360 v20.3.1.22, Norton Utilities 16

Yes you can install NIS 2011 over NIS 2010 without uninstalling NIS 2010

Allow me to echo nickelback87's question: are those final RTM versions? Or are they simply the latest stable beta builds?
We understand that Symantec probably wants to ensure that all other facets of the 2011 products (e.g. marketing, support, etc.) are fully mission-ready before the products are officially released. But for us techies, we just want to use the latest and the greatest. I believe a simple "yes" or "no" to the question above will be of help to many who are paying attention to this thread.

you won't get a yes or now as every one here would have downloaded it and if any problems arrise, they would have complained that symantec was not even ready for their latest product release, there would be no support etc..... It's better if they get everything sorted before releasing..... We had our beta, you can continue using the beta if you want while waiting for the final release
