Recently I prolonged my NIS 2009 services, shortly after that, my laptop got attacked by some virus and I lost my system. After reinstallation of vista home basic, I no longer have NIS on my laptop, and I couldn't find any downloads of NIS 2009 version.

As I just bought my new product key 2 months ago, I don't want to throw it away. can anyone tell me is it still possible to download NIS 2009 anywhere?

You can download and save the full NIS 2009 installation package (English version) to your computer from here:

Actually, seeing that you have a subscription for NIS 2009, you could upgrade to NIS 2010 directly (users of Norton 2006 and later can update to Norton 2010 for free) and download NIS 2010 (English version) from over here and save it to your desktop:

Before installing NIS 2009 or NIS 2010, please make sure that you have got your NIS 2009 product key handy to activate your NIS 2009 or NIS 2010 product. You can fetch your NIS 2009 product key from your Norton account over here:

I would recommend downloading and installing NIS 2010 from http://www.norton.com/nis10

I got NIS 2009 about a month ago, and as soon as NIS 2010 was released i uninstalled NIS 2009 and installed NIS 2010 instead using THE SAME CD-Key :).

In case you experience activation problems after installing NIS 2010 (receiving a message saying something along the lines of “Activation not complete: No response received from the Symantec server"), please go to the link below in order to download the hotfix which will solve this problem:
