I can access Fanfiction.net perfectly fine but when I clicked on a fanfiction itself my page is blocked and a message appears on the page saying "Fraudulent Web Page Blocked".
I was fine this morning I went on it and never really had any problems with it for years now. If I do a full report on the site now, it is rated safe according to Norton Safe Web but the pages are still blocked. So, I don't understand is why is the site block in the first place?

I have this same issue. I was on it fine last night and then this morning I was getting that message. My hotmail account was also blocked when I tried to log in this morning but I don't know if these two issues are related or if it is just coincidence that they occurred on the same day.

Thanks for letting us know about this issue. We've identified the cause and are working to release a new definition ASAP that resolves the issue. Thanks again for your help.

Same for me too, and I was just on it this morning and it was fine. I'm also getting the blocked message on another website that I frequent on a daily basis. Is there some way to add these sites to a "safe" list within our personal norton accounts?

I'm experiencing the same thing with readers of my blog, jillcataldo.com (a website about coupon savings.) I haven't changed or added anything new to the site programming-wise, but today I've received a bunch of messages from readers saying that their Norton is not allowing them to access my blog as it is a known "fraudulent" site and is being blocked.
Is this the same issue, which a virus definition update will fix? Oddly, I'm a Norton user too and I'm not experiencing it, but I've gotten enough messages from a variety of readers today to know that it's not an isolated issue.

Here's a thread on my blog with users talking about my site being blocked by Norton as of today -- email's pouring in too: http://www.jillcataldo.com/node/22027

Hi JillCataldo,
Yep, the same thing. It should be coming out very soon. If you run LiveUpdate, you'll see it as "Norton 2012 Web Protection Definitions". For those that don't run LiveUpdate manually, it will be downloaded an installed automatically at the next Automatic LiveUpdate session.

Thank you so much for resolving this so quickly! I just ran the update for the new definition.

Thank you so much for the very quick response! I will let my readers know. Again, I really appreciate your reply.
