Why do I keep getting this message?

Three times today I have received this message from Norton?

 

Error: "3048,3" appears on my Norton product

 

It suggests that I download Eraser. I do, Norton runs a test a detects nothing. A few minutes later I get the same message. I run another test, Norton says everything is fine. Now it's come up a third time. What is going on, and how do I resolve this problem?

Hi,
Not quite sure why you are getting that message. It appears that NPE is not finding and removing the problem. Have you run any other scans? Have you used the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool to be sure you have a clean copy of your Norton product on your computer?
