Every year about this time my norton fails and I am asked to pay more money even though my subscriptionb is paid in full. I cant get my norton to do its job and no one at norton will help unless I buy a new subcscription. Norton plays these games every year and the people lie to me and play games and I continually get screwed and loose the use of my computer for a week or so untill Iget some moron at norton to fix it. Now I just want my freakin money back. I suffer from PTSD am a disabled for life veteran and dont need these ggames or stress. Why cant norton just simply do it job?

Hello sickofyourgames.
Welcome to the community even if it is in unhappy circumstances.
First I should explain that I and most people here are not Norton employees but volunteers who are here to help users like themselves. Therefore you should understand that I am surprised and troubled by what appears to have been happening to you.
There are two things I can suggest that you do.
One is to tell us a little more about your problems, what product you are using, what has gone wrong and what you have tried to do to get around the problem so far. We then maybe able to help you.
The other is to contact the Norton Live Chat link given below. We find that most people who contact that get their issues sorted out very quickly. To get to Live Chat, highlight the link below, right click on it and select copy, then paste that into a new window and press enter (for some reason just clicking on the link does not result in the page you reach working correctly), then scroll down to "Chat Now" and click on that.
I hope that helps.

Hello sickofyourgames,
I see that you have 31 days left on your Norton Internet Security subscription, so you shouldn't be seeing any shut downs yet, but some reminders will start showing letting you know that your subscription is less than a month away from expiring.
I also see that you have a Norton 360 subscription that expired on the 13th of this month. Is this the one that is shut down? When you pay the subscription, do you pay for a full year of service?
Subscriptions to the software are necessary for the product to continue to function and to be fed the latest security updates. This subscription allows your computer to be kept up-to-date with new types of threats that emerge. Most subscriptions are for 1 year, but most of the time you are able to purchase multi-year subscriptions if you'd like.
Let me know if you had a different subscription besides the ones I mentioned and I can help you get that stuff squared away.

Hello again sockofyourgames.
I'm always cautious about putting in second comments before a person has respond to the first but Tim_Lopez' post has given me an idea why you may have been having odd problems in the past.
You cannot safely have Norton Internet Security (NIS) and Norton 360 (N360) on the same computer. If at some stage you had, let us say, NIS on a machine and then, when renewing, went over to N360 you should completely uninstall NIS before you can safely install N360. Might something like this explain some of the problems you have had in the past?

Hi,
mikedov is correct that Norton protection will stop after your subscription expires. then you will need to renew your subscription. when you mentioned that you have to pay more, i belive that the consultant offered you a different Norton product for an upgrade.
