Hi!
I recently did a fresh installation of Windows 7. A few weeks ago, I installed NIS 2010. Prior to the installation of NIS, my Windows Updates (which are set to Automatic) were working fine but are now not working. I suspect the installation of NIS has in some way 'blocked' automatic updates. I've tried modifying Firewall settings to no avail.
Is there a solution or workaround?
Many thanks!

Hi Tokyo Tom,
Welcome to Norton Community!
Apart from what PapauZ has suggested above, try to turn off the Smart Firewall from NIS 2010 for temporary purpose(you can disable it for 15 minutes) and check whether you are getting same error for Windows Updates. This way you can determine whether NIS is causing the problem or not. If the Windows Updates work after you turn off the Smart firewall, then only you need to check the configurations or create rule in firewall.
Let us know the results.
